Welcome, fellow world citizens!
Hi, thank you for dropping by!
This website is my window to the world and a window for others to look in!
Initially, I will write travel blogs and, over time, will share my thoughts on matters dear to me. I have deliberately picked worldcitizen as part of my website address – for, in today’s inter-connected world, thinking of ourselves as global citizens helps us rise above and beyond the boundaries we often draw for ourselves – of religion, race, ethnicity, color or even nations! And, by doing so, we become more humane, more empathetic, more respectful, and more appreciative of people other than our own.
I live in Chennai with my wife, Sowmya, and two children – Shreyas, a passionate artist and Samrita, who works for a United Nations Environment Program partner organization.
I love many things – travel, wildlife, nature, reading, music (mostly Indian classical), science and technology. I recently realized that, by writing about our experiences and perspectives, we are able to connect with people, to inspire and be inspired.
